Internal Sales Executive

Job Summary
We are currently seeking an Internal Sales Executive to join our Internal Sales team at our Chorley based Head Office. The role holder will be responsible for:

  • delivering service excellence to both internal and external customers.
  • providing an effective inbound and outbound sales service.
  • promoting Scorpion products and adding value via up-selling and cross selling. Respond to all customer enquiries within the agreed SLA’s.
  • building and developing customer relationships to achieve the department’s revenue target.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  1. To effectively deal with and process inbound communications from Scorpion’s Dealer and End Customers, including:
    • Processing orders: data input entry from channels including telephone, email and web; ensuring that customers are made aware of order, stock and delivery status
    • To ensure all orders are accurately processed on Concept (MRP System) and lead progression recorded and customer dialogue recorded in appropriate systems (e.g. CRM, Fleet Management or Stolen Vehicle System) , paying attention to detail
    • Responding to general enquiries via telephone and email; providing product information and sales order quotations
    • Investigating and resolving customer queries and complaints
    • Feeding back customer and market information to the field sales team, purchasing and marketing.
  2. Work to achieve specified Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in the processing of sales orders, product returns, warranty claims, sales lead generation, increased average order value, call handling (including waiting time, call length, amount of outbound calls made).
  3. Build an ongoing understanding of Scorpion’s Approved Dealer customers’ individual requirements, ensuring an efficient, professional service is delivered.
  4. Liaising with Scorpion’s Approved Dealers to arrange device installation pricing and scheduling.
  5. Present Scorpion in an accurate, positive and professional manner on the phone and by email in line with its brand positioning, key messaging and ensuring all communications are compliant with Corporate Identity Guidelines (to be released)
  6. Develop a comprehensive understanding of product features and benefits in order to appropriately match customers’ individual needs and identify opportunities for cross- and up-selling products and services.
  7. Establish a rapport with customers whilst identifying and maximising sales opportunities, adding value by utilising cross-selling and up-selling techniques where appropriate.
  8. Complete and send out pro-forma invoices/quotations on request, follow up and maximise sales opportunity.
  9. Ensure accurate CRM system amendments and additions, raising data quality to improve customer profiling for marketing purposes and facilitate sales pipeline progression.
  10. Ensure data protection is adhered to at all times
  11. Research and contact prospective clients
  12. Influence customers to buy new products or renew subscription products (ScorpionTrack Fleet and Stolen Vehicle Recovery) by reference to prepared product guides.
  13. Collate information on prospective clients, even where an appointment is not obtained
  14. Actively manage the CRM system, log all calls and ensure information is accurate and kept up to date for direct mailing and activities.
  15. Follow-up specific email and online marketing campaigns; along with follow-up of online visitors to our websites (aided by online forensics software).
  16. Work with Head of Marketing & Sales Ops, plus the field sales team to support them in achieving Scorpion’s revenue objectives
  17. Send out company and product information to potential accounts when necessary
  18. Provide weekly sales, stock and subscription reports.
  19. To perform any other duties commensurate with the above responsibilities and the skills and qualifications of the post-holder

  1. One day Induction programme introducing all areas of the company (with Head of Marketing & Sales Ops)
  2. One to one product training through scheduled short product training courses delivered by our in-house product specialists.
  3. Scheduled and on-the-job coaching sessions
  4. Unscheduled training via progressive customer hand-over of selected accounts.

Customer Service Executive

Job Summary
We are currently seeking a Customer Service Executive at our Chorley based Head Office. The role holder will support sales targets by delivering first class customer service that facilitates customer retention. The role provides the business with support in two primary areas:

  • Responding to inbound customer enquiries (primarily ‘consumers’/end customers), delivering service excellence to both internal and external customers within the agreed KPI’s.
  • Managing customer issues using the various systems we have in place.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  1. To effectively deal with and process inbound communications from Scorpion’s Dealer and End Customers, including:
    • Getting to the root cause of a customer problem quickly and solving it in a way that is satisfactory to the customer and causes them minimal inconvenience (within agreed parameters).
    • To ensure customer dialogue is recorded in appropriate systems , paying attention to detail (ultimately held in SAP CRM).
    • Responding to general enquiries via telephone and email; providing product information.
    • Identify and refer sales leads to Internal Sales Executives, Regional Sales Managers or Head of Marketing & Sales Operations
    • Investigating and resolving customer queries and complaints
    • Feeding back customer, market and information to the Head of Marketing & Sales Operations (in turn R&D and the Field Sales team).
  2. Work to achieve specified Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in relation to call handling and customer satisfaction.
  3. Build an ongoing understanding of Scorpion’s Approved Dealer customers’ individual requirements, ensuring an efficient, professional service is delivered.

    • Consumers are satisfied with the service aspects of dealer workmanship, punctuality, tidiness etc.
  9.  Provide reports and weekly feedback to the Management Team.

Tracking Co-Ordinators

About the Role
We are currently seeking Tracking Co-Ordinators to join our 24/7 theft monitoring team at our Chorley based Head Office.

The role holders will be responsible for the effective satellite tracking of business and privately owned vehicles, using our own in-house designed and manufactured ScorpionTrack Stolen Vehicle Tracking (SVT) system. The types of vehicles we track include: cars, vans, trucks, motorhomes, plant, machinery and motorcycles.

Our ScorpionTrack SVT devices are covertly installed within our customer’s vehicles. Upon unauthorised movement detection, the tracking devices discretely notify our 24/7/365 Monitoring team of a possible theft. In the event of a confirmed theft our team will maintain contact with the Control Room of the appropriate local Police Force and the police unit dispatched to intercept the vehicle and the perpetrators. In almost real-time, the team will accurately track the vehicle’s location, speed, direction, ignition state, battery condition and other status data, providing updates to the Police to co-ordinate recovery of the vehicle and also leading to successful arrests.

Scorpion enjoys an outstanding success rate (currently 96%) in recovering all types of stolen vehicle.

Role Requirements
The successful applicant will possess excellent communication skills, good IT literacy and able to work well as part of a team. He/she will also be comfortable working the required hours and shift pattern. Working hours will be based on a 12 hour daytime shift pattern including weekends and Bank Holidays.
