The Challenge

Managing a fleet of high performance vehicles on-hire presents many challenges. Bespokes Car Hire aims to provide customers with the thrill of driving a Ferrari to the refined elegance of an Aston Martin, for business or pleasure. At the same time, managing these ‘high value mobile assets’ carries a considerable financial risk, along with the typical logistical challenges of operating a vehicle hire business.

The Solution

Our customers are aware trackers are installed in the vehicles and as a result, driving behavior has improved leading to considerable reductions in repair costs and lower maintenance bills arising from excessive wear and tear. We’ve cut down on the administration of speeding and parking tickets. As the system enables us to distinguish between operational and customer usage, we can determine whether one of our own staff or a customer was driving the vehicle.

As for customers with vehicles on-hire, they can enjoy their driving experience without the disruption of our phone calls to determine their location. For example, we’d be concerned if a vehicle was on a ferry leaving the UK if adequate insurance cover was not in place. We can also keep track of mileage, and if a customer is at risk of exceeding their allowance, we can provide them with advanced notice and offer the option to pre-book additional mileage, thereby avoiding any penalty payment when the vehicle is returned.

Whilst away from the office, the ScorpionTrack Fleet mobile app is also great for helping my team and I keep track of our vehicles.
